How many confirmations does it take to open a channel?

I opened a channel and it confirmed, but it's still inactive. Do I need to wait multiple Bitcoin on-chain confirmations before it becomes active?

The larger the channel you're opening, the more confirmations you require. LND automatically scales this requirement for you. For small channels you can be up and running in 3 confirmations, and for large ones you have to wait for up to 6.
