Can I join more than one Swap on LN+?

I would like to build up my Bitcoin Lighthing Network node fast. I want to join multiple Swaps at the same time. Is that allowed and advisable?

Yes, you can join multiple Swaps at once, just make sure you're not connecting to the same nodes on multiple Swaps. There are some caveats you have to be aware of:
  • LN+ will alert you if you're already connected to a node, but only after your channels are already open on the network, so you have to manually double check everything.
  • When you open a channel you are sending a bitcoin transaction. Often this means you have no on-chain bitcoins until the transaction confirms and the change returns to your on-chain wallet. In other words you will only be able to open one channel at a time, and wait for at least one bitcoin confirmation between them.
  • Your profile on LN+ will not update with your new channels immediately. It takes up to an hour to reflect changes. If you want to join Swaps with restrictions of minimum total capacity or number of channels, you may decide to take is slow and join Swaps gradually so the system has time to update.
