I am in the process of sending out messages to other node providers in an attempt to open my first 2-way channel. Once done I plan to use your web sites swap feature to open channels until my nodes total capacity is around 20 BTC. 

That's great! Once you have one channel open, within 24 hours your node profile will become active and you won't have to re-verify.
