Expected course of action with an inactive offline peer during agreement
Hello there,
I'm currently having trouble with a couple of peers that are unresponsive with nodes that have went offline.
Most of them have been offline for over 2 weeks.
Originally the agreements say a duration of 6 or 12 months. However, would that still hold if they're offline for an extended period of time? Would I be expected to lock a non insignificant amount of sats in an offline channel?
I've sent messages to them on LN+, but they haven't replied after 7 days.
Thank you.

I think this could be related to the LND 'bug' which happened around that time. I also had several such channels.

I still have them, I've been trying to contact the node runners to no avail. What do you recommend to do?

I recommend to remove the peer and peer again. This apparently worked for some.
If it didn’t work: force close to ensure funds are safe.
