A bit about my node node. I set it up out of curiosity in 2021 while traveling. I was running in several hotels, resorts, remote islands, mostly wifi, sometimes 4G on the ferries. It never crashed though. If my node crashes I die, simple as that. I have experienced a lot of network instability, especially Tor on some locations, so now I finally settle it in a much less adventurous place with stable connectivity, so I feel more confident to grow it a bit. I have added a couple SSDs and another machine for semi-live backup, but still in the same location, so the only imaginable way I can lose my node is the building is on fire.

Currently routing 100-200 tx day earning a lot in term of Sat but silly amount in term of Fiat, just like every one of us. I have set up a dual funded channel liquidity ads ( https://lnrouter.app/liquidity-ads ). If you are on C-lightning, you can try it out, hopefully one day it's available on LND. Though it might look a bit expensive comparing to LN+, but can save you a lot of time communicating/rebalancing and only costs, in the range of cents to a few dollars, to get a good size balanced channel.

I don't close channels on peer unless offline for a month+, because I understand the operator could be away while something happens to the node, and I hope my peers treat the same when I drop my ball. My fee generally is set by CLboss. If you feel it's too high/low and won't maximize the throughput of our channel, let me know I'm willing to fix.
