What is a Bitcoin Lightning Network node color?
I hear color being mention in the context of LN nodes. What does color have to do with anything?

Color is a hexadecimal string that describes a color. For example #000000 is black, #FFFFFF is white, and #0000FF is a particular shade of blue. Each node can have a color set by the node operator. Color has no importance in terms of the operation to the node. It's similar to the node alias. It is just a way to visually differentiate one node from another. A color can be changed at any point.
On LN+ we use the node color to create a small colorful bookmark next to your alias on the profile page.

You have to do it on your node and LN+ will pick it up and color your profile accordingly.
