Tor to clearnet peer connection problems

For people that are operating exclusively behind tor, how do you resolve slow routing or unresponsive peers that terminate on clearnet?

had it yesterday, lost all connectivity for 5 minutes. very annoying, but not much you can do. I restarted my tor client, but I doubt it helped.
