Can't enable email notifications in my profile

Can't enable email notifications in my profile. Tested in multiple browsers.

When I click the checkbox to enable email notifications and then submit the form to update my profile, the setting does not persist. Going back to my profile's edit page shows the box unchecked again.

Can an admin manually enable email notifications for me?
