Seeking Guidance on Channel Recovery and Recreation in Lightning Network+


Hello Lightning Network+ Community,

I recently encountered a situation where I had to close all of my Lightning channels as part of a recovery process recommended by Umbrel support. While I haven't received all the satoshis yet, I am eager to recover as much as possible and recreate my channels.

I have already communicated this situation to my peers, but I'm looking for guidance on the best practices and steps to take when it comes to recreating channels.
Specifically, I'd appreciate insights on:

  • Efficiently recovering funds from closed channels.
  • Strategies for recreating new channels.

Any advice, tips, or pointers from the experienced members of this community would be greatly appreciated.

If you know who your peers were, you can Message them here. Find them on Explorer and then message. They can force close the channels for you.
