A peer says they cannot connect to me

Peer states they can not connect to me via tor. Tor is running and I have verified my node. How can I determine if the problem is on my side or their side?

Can you peer other nodes? Can other nodes peer you? If yes, the issue is likely on their side.

Try restarting Tor. It can be finnicky.

I can peer other nodes, but other nodes can't seem to peer me. I have restarted a few times. Doing an nslookup on the tor host name comes up unresolved, however if I test the open port for the actual non-tor IP address, it shows open. I am at a loss as to why my .onion name would not be resolvable.

Get a new Tor address. This resolved Tor issues for many nodes.
