Hey @icarus 👋🏼 - cool to see you on the swap

I took a look at your amboss page and I'm curious what affect having outgoing 10,000,000 ppm has on your flow? Are you seeing much movement through your channels? I'm pretty new to Lightning so any info is helpful!

oleskogstrom@gmail.com wrote 2 months ago

That is a good question :D Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I have had my node for some time, but have not yet done any changes to the channel fee. I realise I must have used the command to change the feee incorrectly.

oleskogstrom@gmail.com wrote 2 months ago

Will fix this

MercerLain wrote 2 months ago

Anytime! Yeah looks like you got into the game really early. 2 years ago - wow! How the Lightning Network has grown in this time!

MercerLain wrote 2 months ago

@icarus - you should join plebnet if you haven't already! https://t.me/plebnet

oleskogstrom@gmail.com wrote 2 months ago

Hehe, time flies! ;) It's incredible to see the progress that's being made. Especially the last few months. New services are popping up and people are more engaged in the network than ever.

oleskogstrom@gmail.com wrote 2 months ago

Already in the plebnet chat, but thank you! :)

Hey guys, have started opening a channel, I'm pretty new to this also. @Icarus, I guess I need to open a peer connection to you to work with tor? At least that what it said on the application screen.

MercerLain wrote 2 months ago

Shit! @icarus I made a mistake on the amount when I opened the channel to you! typed 3156150 instead of 3156500 - trying to find out if there is a way to edit it before it goes through! I'm sorry! I can close it and reopen a new one at the correct amount and eat the cost if necessary - let me know your thoughts.

@Anonymous 1241 - you're set to open to A, not to D

oleskogstrom@gmail.com wrote 2 months ago

No problem at all ;) No need to close/repoen the channel.

MercerLain wrote 2 months ago

@Icarus - thanks homie - I was mortified when I saw the wrong number after clicking "open channel" - if it wasn't already clear it's my first time lol

islandhodl wrote 2 months ago

@MercerLain, yes I see that, and have opened a channel to A. But for @Icarus to open to me do I need to do anything? It stated on the application page that @Icarus requires a peer connection for Tor to work.

islandhodl wrote 2 months ago

@MercerLain, my first time too buddy!

MercerLain wrote 2 months ago

@Anonymous1241 - not sure what you're using - there's a pretty easy way to open peer connection in Thunderhub, which is what I used - can walk you through it if you like

oleskogstrom@gmail.com wrote 2 months ago

@Anonymous1241 No need to do anything. As long as I have your node ID and Tor address I can connect. The only hiccup was that I had to activate Tor before connecting and opening the channel.

It's all done, so nothing to worry about. Waiting for confirmations now. :)

Ah cool, I have installed thunderHub and I see your Preamp Capital node now
