Oh and just letting you know, my node has 2 million sat channels open with bitrefill, and 1 million sat channels open with lnmarkets ACINQ and gameb_1.

BJNode wrote 4 months ago

Hi all. Ill be away for 8 -10 hours shortly but will open a channel when im back assuming we have a D by then.

xmrk wrote 4 months ago

Hello, would like to join ,but already have channel with BJNode (well, opening one). Technically this should not be problem, he runs lnd according to https://ln.fiatjaf.com/node/03d921b4c9b5a5f155e70be01b340d99117896c4fab9efdfef71ca9999d059862f , and I also run lnd.
So may I join?

Ok so I'm no expert on lightning. Learning as I go. I think I messed up my lightning node ID. Does it need the '@toraddress.onion:9735 on the end of the public key?'.

But great everyone, looking forward to opening more of these in the future

Have fixed the node id I think, and opened a channel with glensidecross subject to confirmations. Cheers dudes. Let me know in this chat if anything isn't right or needs to be fixed from my end.

BitcoinWarrior.net wrote 4 months ago

Hi. I'm getting this error when I try to connect:
socks connect tcp 127.0.0.1:9070->ire3fwtjusuzqpai.onion:9735: unknown error general SOCKS server failure

BitcoinWarrior.net wrote 4 months ago

Can’t seem to add bjnode as a peer. My node seems to be working as I added a peer and channel for a different swap. Please advise. I’ll try again I. A few hours.

Satoshi-On-Sea wrote 4 months ago

What software are you using for your node? If I add a peer I have to input pubkey@ipaddress:9735.

xmrk wrote 4 months ago

to connect to BJNode, try using 03d921b4c9b5a5f155e70be01b340d99117896c4fab9efdfef71ca9999d059862f@zaazlgjpiimiuuenonk6nbf2mhkb6wmfbbyowrxiquty4j6sc42ywhid.onion:9735 . This is their onion v3 address, I just copied it from 1ml.com . I tried the v2 addresss (the shorted one) and could not connect,. tried the v3 (the longer one) and it worked.

BJNode wrote 4 months ago

sorry bitcoin warrior. how did you go?

BJNode wrote 4 months ago

Ive got a funding tx with Fishbrain 5sat/vb

BitcoinWarrior.net wrote 4 months ago

Hoy, sorry. I'm in Japan so in a different timezone.

Thanks to xmrk. That address worked for me, though when I had copied directly from 1ML it didn't work. Not sure why it worked when I took it from you.

All is well, Channel open. Happy lightninging.

BJNode wrote 4 months ago

Sorry when I opened the Tx 5 sat/b looked like it would get in. hopefully will get through when its quiet later

FISHBRAIN wrote 4 months ago

same for me, I have one Tx in the mempool that needs to go through to open my channel. rest assured I will do as soon as possible!

Satoshi-On-Sea

Satoshi-On-Sea wrote 4 months ago

@bitcoinwarrior.net looks like you opened up a channel with me independently. Jolly nice of you. Will try and balance so you its fifty fifty

BitcoinWarrior.net wrote 4 months ago

Damn. I think I copied off the comments. Thanks for linking back and I'll try again with BJNode.

BJNode wrote 4 months ago

I think yours had already gone through with me.. My tx is still waiting. Sorry Fishbrain. I might look at bumping the fee if i can.

Looks like we're almost up and running. Nice job everyone. Just out of interest, how are the rest of you running your node? I'm running a raspiblitz and I mostly use thunderhub for managing my channels. I probably buy stuff 2-4 times a week from bitrefill and I also gamble a bit on lnmarkets. Any suggestions regarding other software which you think is really handy for running your node? I'm really eager to learn more.

BJNode wrote 4 months ago

Hope you are patient satoshi. maybe ill open a new channel to you and close the original once it opens.

BitcoinWarrior.net wrote 4 months ago

I'm also running a Raspiblitz and use both RTL and Thunderhub plus Zeus on my phone. I'm really excited about the developments to Lightning and can't wait for more upgrades to be made. I've been using Raspiblitz since version .99

Satoshi-On-Sea

Satoshi-On-Sea wrote 4 months ago

@bjnode, just checking here, but you realise that the channel you need to open is with fishbrain, not me?
And Bitcoinwarrior, nice set up, will have to give zeus a spin too.

BJNode wrote 4 months ago

yeh sorry I had opened with fishbrain.. It finally went through last night. Sorry again!

Satoshi-On-Sea

Satoshi-On-Sea wrote 2 months ago

Yo Fishbrain, is your node down at the moment? Just trying to understand my balance on thunderhub and think the discrepancy may be down to your node being down, but I could be completely wrong.
