Long time running, reliable and powerful server fully dedicated to LN. * UPS powered * RAID storage * high available networking I dynamically adjust fees to optimize flow and try to never let channels capital inactive. Both automated and manual adjustments are applied. When appropriate, I apply zero base fees (not always, tho). Open to requests, questions and collaborations via DM on this platform. The name of the node is taken from an expression that Einstein used to describe some effects of quantum mechanics, saying it would allow "spooky action at a distance". He was trying to convey his discomfort with the idea that particles could be instantaneously connected across vast distances, seemingly defying the laws of classical physics. In the same way, the Lighting Network allows instant payments to nodes across vast distances. A more deep, amazing, parallel provided by @BCash_Is_Trash: “Spooky action at a distance” refers to the fact that an entangled particle will have its quantum state seemingly “updated” whenever the quantum state of its entangled counterpart is measured, no matter how far away in spacetime that counterpart might be at the instant of measurement, and, crucially, without any timelike messenger particle needing to traverse the spacetime interval between them. I liken that spooky action to Lightning payments, wherein a node at one location in the network “spookily” gets its liquidity balance increased even though no “messenger” of that payment ever hits the global ledger that fundamentally ties the two nodes together. In other words, the payment is “spooky” not only because it's instant but because it seemingly appears out of nowhere, with no externally observable evidence that it ever transpired.
