a) Have a fee management tool in play, in order for the channels to have a chance to route sats. I suggest LNDg.
b) Make sure your node has a stable internet connection (prefer ethernet connection to WiFi).
c) Try to monitor LN+ swap chat and DMs every day.
d) Auto-Rebalance good performing and profitable channels.
e) If most/all of the liquidity is on the other side of the channel, try setting negative iRate to attract sats to your side (LNDg is your friend 😉).
f) Do NOT join this swap if you have other channel(s) open with any of the participants!
g) Feel free to suggest or ask when in doubt.
h) I usually take advantage of the 48 window to open the channel, so I can batch-open many channels in a single on-chain TX.
I set the swap duration to 2 months, so we can check how channels flow. After that, I'll keep the channel(s) open as long as there is good activity.
