Please use a fee of at least 10 sat/Byte for setting up the channel. We could Chat over sphinx.chat when it eventually works with Android with umbrel :)

routingroot

routingroot wrote 5 months ago

I opened to ffa

routingroot

routingroot wrote 5 months ago

pls remember to lower all fees as low as possible

freedom4all

freedom4all wrote 5 months ago

@IBF you node is not visible: https://amboss.space/node/021a51ca1f15a5d31f78afe4e920cb01cdbfe36aec60aac4ad45374ce05b49c5da

freedom4all

freedom4all wrote 5 months ago

@IBF please open a channel first with Node C so you becomes visible

routingroot

routingroot wrote 5 months ago

also not on 1ml, I guess its a new node?

routingroot

routingroot wrote 5 months ago

I should have checked before opening

freedom4all

freedom4all wrote 5 months ago

@LNBully Also new nodes operators come here. Lets help them and be patient. Soon they will have a well connected node as well. If there is any problem with IBF, I will open with you the symmetrical channel.

LN+

LN+ wrote 5 months ago

I sent IBF a reminder email. It didn't bounce, so that's encouraging. But it's strange you can't see the node on 1ml. Is it possible to set your node to private?

routingroot

routingroot wrote 5 months ago

your node appears when there is a public channel open to you from the network

they probably dont have any channels

IntergalacticBtcFund wrote 5 months ago

Hey guys. Working to set the c-lightning feerates. I'll have the channel open within a few hours. :)

IntergalacticBtcFund wrote 5 months ago

PS - sorry I'm new to lightning, so learning as I go.

IntergalacticBtcFund wrote 5 months ago

I have opened the channel! It seems in c-lightning, I set the channel feerate to "slow", for the lower channel fees.

freedom4all

freedom4all wrote 5 months ago

@IBF I still don't see your node.

IntergalacticBtcFund wrote 5 months ago

@freedom4all I have opened a peer to your address, if this helps?

freedom4all

freedom4all wrote 5 months ago

@IBF not visible. Open a channel somewhere to be visible. even 100k sat according to https://github.com/stakwork/sphinx-relay/wiki/Home-node-FAQ would be enough

routingroot

routingroot wrote 5 months ago

@IBF I see your node but its not a good idea to set the fee so low - don't worry if you are just begining we were all there at some point.

freedom4all

freedom4all wrote 5 months ago

@IBF as your node lightning address you have given only your pubkey without network address (ip or onion and port). Once your node gets visible I could check for the missing details there. Otherwise, state on the profile configuration here the missing parts.

routingroot

routingroot wrote 5 months ago

also @ibf if you are so new, why are you deploying so much capital?

freedom4all

freedom4all wrote 5 months ago

@IBF It is possible to push the channel opening transaction using Child Pays for Parent (CPFP), by creating a high fee tx (50 sat/Byte) using the change utxo manually, or using Ride The Lightning -> Lightning -> Peers/Channels -> Channels -> Pending -> Bump Fee

Otherwise, open a second channel somewhere well connected with a more suitable fee, for visibility.

routingroot

routingroot wrote 5 months ago

@ibf if you don't make the channel clear by the deadline then I will close my channel and cancel the swap. Sorry, but this isn't worth my time or my liquidity.

freedom4all

freedom4all wrote 5 months ago

@routingroot - I offer that after deadline, I skip IBF and open a channel to you, so we have a simple symmetrical liquidity exchange. I see that our nodes have similar ranking according to 1ml.com and we don't share too many common neighbors.

freedom4all

freedom4all wrote 5 months ago

I would also suggest to remove the positive rating until things are clear.

routingroot

routingroot wrote 5 months ago

I thought we couldn't do that? if it works then sure

freedom4all

freedom4all wrote 5 months ago

sure, this platform is only a match maker helping us to find each other. you can find me on sphinx.chat and we can text there on top of our channels.

routingroot

routingroot wrote 5 months ago

I have sphinx chat too but I prefer telegram, do you have that? I find that the desktop client is unstable, not ready to give it another go yet.

freedom4all

freedom4all wrote 5 months ago

I am using android with umbrel. https://github.com/stakwork/sphinx-kotlin/releases Basic functionality works, and then only my pubkey is exposed, which you already know.

freedom4all

freedom4all wrote 5 months ago

@routingroot - it seems you demand a fee of 100000 satoshi base fee and then satoshi fee per satoshi sent on the channel with me. I find it a little expensive...

routingroot

routingroot wrote 5 months ago

yea its on purpose so that nobody uses it, I am waiting for IBF channel to confirm then I can rebalance

It can take so long that somebody can take advantage of the cheap liquidity

IntergalacticBtcFund wrote 5 months ago

Yea, choosing "slow" was a BAD choice. The current on-chain fees and tps are killing. I did submit a CPFP about 1hr ago. Using "Slow" set my fee to just 1.2sat/vb! My CPFP transaction now has me at a 16sat/vb average..

IntergalacticBtcFund wrote 5 months ago

@Freedom4all - I updated my profile to include the full onion routing address as well

freedom4all

freedom4all wrote 5 months ago

@IBF I explained to b21 the calculation of average fee in CPFP on https://lightningnetwork.plus/swaps/36 and you can verify yourself what your average fee is (using a weighted average according to virtual size), and also explained how to bump the fee further using RBF. There the calculation was 200 sat/Byte which turns out to be 8 USD. This gives average of 65 sat/Byte which will be confirmed today. Otherwise, you have to wait for the storm to pass, and I am not sure how patient is routingroot.

freedom4all

freedom4all wrote 5 months ago

@IBF also your profile page doesn't generate a qrcode, so there must be something wrong there as well.

IntergalacticBtcFund wrote 5 months ago

After another CPFP channel is FINALLY funded onchain. Most expensive collection of BTC transactions I've ever done...
@fredom4all - it looks like that QR is actually via 1ML, so this will likely get sorted out as my channels become confirmed.

freedom4all

freedom4all wrote 5 months ago

I was trying to open the channel with you now, and got this:
Unable to connect to peer, socks connect tcp 10.21.21.11:9050->xiagrqrgouls6rm34ht5tyr2h2g2mpulqfdjn2sklwifulmzaqfonlad.onion:9735: unknown error connection refused
is your node online?

IntergalacticBtcFund wrote 5 months ago

@freedom4all - thanks for info. I found my tor proxy is actually port 9737, for outside facing. I have updated my profile link, and pasted here as well: 021a51ca1f15a5d31f78afe4e920cb01cdbfe36aec60aac4ad45374ce05b49c5da@xiagrqrgouls6rm34ht5tyr2h2g2mpulqfdjn2sklwifulmzaqfonlad.onion:9737
Thanks for heads up!

freedom4all

freedom4all wrote 5 months ago

I managed to initiate a channel opening to you.

IntergalacticBtcFund wrote 5 months ago

Sweet! I see it too. Thanks for all the help!

routingroot

routingroot wrote 5 months ago

@ibf thanks! I see your pubkey can you use an alias?

routingroot

routingroot wrote 5 months ago

ok so now make sure all your fees are super low and I will rebalance it with bos on the CLI

routingroot

routingroot wrote 5 months ago

I'm actually struggling to get it to rebalance with bos or thunderhub idk why

IntergalacticBtcFund wrote 5 months ago

@routingroot - looks like it's at 1000msat base, and 10msat fee_rate. Is this good? or a recommendation?

I do have an alias set in lightning, but I've noticed it can take nodex a few minutes to populate in my RTL. - if this is what you mean by setting an alias?

IntergalacticBtcFund wrote 5 months ago

I see your fee, and matched it!

routingroot

routingroot wrote 5 months ago

yea I just see your pubkey - which is fine but alias is better

routingroot

routingroot wrote 5 months ago

well right now I need to rebalance and I can't figure out what's wrong
