I had a failure in the Main board of the Intel NUC used for the node, probably some voltage regulators malfunctioned and caused an overvoltage to reach the RAM and the SSDs. This caused sudden corruptions that where initially corrected by btrfs raid1. When the problem was discovered the btrfs correction capabilities where reaching their limits and postgres database server signaled checkesums errors also. Luckily the errors where not in essential tables but I decided anyway to close the node closing the channels one by one to minimize the number of writes transactions on ssds. During the closures btrfs raid1 began to not being able to correct the errors anymore. In the end I was able to close safely all the channels and transfer to another wallet the sats still presents. After shutdown NUC was no more powering on. A post shutdown preliminar analysis showed a fried and now unusable RAM, bad CPU, one ssd with permanent bad sectors while the other was now dead! I'm sorry that I had to shutdown everything but I think it was the only possible decision; non the less some obbligations with fellows nodes runners could not be respected and I'm sorry for that. I want also to thank everyone of my partners nodes with particular regards to some of them that helped and mentored me! Thank you and see you around may be with a new node on a new hardware! Simha.
