Increased default fee rate to 80 ppm
Posted almost 3 years ago by GIGA DORIRU BUREIKA
Friends, I increased my default fee rate from 35 ppm to 80 ppm as an experiment.
According to 1ml, the median is 40 ppm... so I'll be doubling that 😉
As a side note, I use rebalance-lnd to rebalance liquidity between channels. How do you do yours?
I heard about charge-lnd but I haven't gotten the time to implement it. Let me know if you use it!

Is this the CLTV delta? Default base fee and fee rate is 1 ppm. Do you not expect drop in routing through your node?
I am still learning about rebalancing.

I'm also learning. I don't know what CLTV is used for. It appears to be a block height value before bitcoins becomes spendable. My change is related to fee rate only - which is 1 ppm by default.
I don't expect drop in forwards through my node because I will open more channels, which will open more path to my node... Increasing fee is just a way to control that so the liquidity on my channels don't drain as fast. In any case, I'm learning, I really don't know what I'm doing.
