Open 365/365 . here policy 0 fees as long as the liquidity is higher than 50% on my side. then I put very little expense so that it rebalances naturally. My goal is to help make the LN a very liquid payment network, so users can use it every day and stop using that fucking fiat currency. It is impossible for us to have a healthy payment network if we start stealing from each other and blocking the network for just a few miserable sats. When the LN will be really stable, with a good algorithm for finding healthy and viable routes and nodes, with many users using it on a daily basis for their payments (and not only for stupid re-balancing), then only at this time there may be talk of increasing routing fees to build economic incentives for routing nodes. However, we are not there yet! It doesn't matter if others claim that they have earned an amount x sats/month. YOU WILL NOT MAKE IT! And remember: the goal is to FUCK THE BANKS, not to fuck each other! If from now on we charge high fees to new users who just want to test the LN, we will only succeed in scaring them and especially scaring them away. They will think that the Lightning Network is just a crappy and expensive payment system. Don't scare them away, help them test and use this fantastic technology.
